Commissioner Damanaki meets Norwegian Minister for EU Affairs
Mr Vidar Helgesen, Norwegian Minister for EU Affairs, welcomed Commissioner Damanaki in Oslo. The Commissioner raised during her meeting with Minister Helgesen, the importance of EU - Norway relations as Norway is a major fish supplier to the EU. She also highlighted the good position of Norway, with its vast experience in seabed mapping and underwater technology, in benefiting from the new Blue Economy. Norwegian research and innovation may also benefit from and contribute to the development of a sustainable aquaculture industry.
