Instructions

1st: Choose a map mode

Choose a map mode to find out the amount of jobs supported by EU exports — in the EU (blue) or in the Rest of the World (orange). Countries’ colour intensity depend on the amount of jobs (the more, the darker)

2nd Choose a country

By default, EU flag is selected. Mouse-over a country to know the amount of jobs that were supported in that country by the total exports of the EU27 (United Kingdom not included) to the world.

Choose a flag to find out the impact of that country’s exports. Mouse-over as before.

Country fiches

By clicking once on a given EU country, a summary fiche of the country will pop up. Here you can compare 2000 2010 (or 2008 for education level, age and gender shares) and 2019 data. For more information, see the Report: EU exports to the world: effects on employment

About

EU Member States export goods and services all around the World. These exports support jobs not only in the exporting countries but also elsewhere. For instance, Germany exports automobiles to Japan, but many of the cars' parts are produced in other countries, supporting jobs in those economies. Discover it by using this map!
