The European Commission publishes in principle in all its official languages but not all language versions are ready at the same time. If you are interested in receiving copies of a brochure in another EU language but English, please feel free to contact Judith.Schilling@ec.europa.eu as she has to check the availability on a case by case basis.

The UK Offices of the European Commission publish a wide range of booklets, guides and newsletters. These are intended both to provide information and inform public debate. A selection of these publications can be viewed here; some are only available in electronic form, indicated by (E).

  3. Following huge public demand in 2007, the 2008 version of "The EU:What's in it for me?" is now available in web form. Publications from the EU Institutions

The EU Institutions produce centrally a vast number of publications for an EU and worldwide audience. On the Europa web site can be found, free of charge, Official Documents such as: Green Papers and White Papers (consultation documents) and Treaties.

Copies of OPOCE's leaflets and booklets are usually available free of charge, or else can be consulted, at public libraries in the UK.

EUR-Lex is the result of a merger of the EUR-Lex website with the CELEX database on European law. It offers free access to the largest collection of EU legislation and related items such as COM documents.

The EU Press Room provides links to the news services of all the EU institutions. RAPID is a database where you will find press releases (IPs), speeches and other useful information memos; a summary of the most important ones is to be found at Midday Express.
