Call summary and aims
Innovation is fostered when new ideas can emerge and easily translate into socio-economic value, shaping new markets and laying the foundations of a stronger, high-tech industrial base for Europe.
Working together, partners with complementary backgrounds, knowledge and skills, in both new and established value-chains, can turn ideas into world-beating products, processes and services that tackle societal challenges.
FTI accelerates the market uptake of ground-breaking innovations by providing funding in an open, accessible scheme that nurtures ideas from consortia of innovators of all types and sizes from across Europe.
Proposals must relate to any field of H2020 under the specific objective "Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies" and/or to any of the specific objectives under the priority "Societal challenge".
Budget Information: The budget available will be divided equally between each cut-off date.

A total number of 216 proposals were submitted in response to the second FTI cut-off (March 31st 2018) - H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020.

A total number of 138 proposals were submitted in response to the first FTI cut-off (February 21st 2018) - H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020.

Following the update of the proposal template part B in the proposal submission system, the proposal template as part of the reference documents for the call (part 5. under 'Topic conditions and documents') has also been updated, in line with the changes in the submission system.

The proposal submission template for the Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) – part B has been updated in the submission system.
Modifications have been made to sections 1, 2 and 3.
The changes in wording, in particular in the sections on 'Excellence' and 'Impact', now reflect:
· Better the specific objectives of the FTI in respect to standard innovation actions
· The integration of the FTI into the European Innovation Council pilot pursuing more market-creating innovation and resulting company scale-ups in Europe.
In light of the changes, we recommend you to review and adapt your proposal as appropriate.
