Consultation on ERA
With the Green Paper on the European Research Area (ERA), the European Commission launched a broad institutional and public debate on what should be done to create a unified and attractive European Research Area, which would fulfil the needs and expectations of the scientific community, business and citizens.
The public consultation on the ERA green paper lasted from 1st May 2007 until 31st August 2007. The consultation process was developed in parallel to the discussion with the other institutions.

The Green Paper is accompanied by a background document
also produced the European Commission. It provides a detailed assessment
of progress and an analysis of the current situation and challenges regarding
