Success stories: The EU-funded project CSFVACCINE & WILD BOAR (SSPE-CT-2003-501599).
Classical swine fever virus (CSFV) is a recurring infection of domestic pigs and wild boar. Notwithstanding the relative success in eradicating the disease in certain parts of Europe and despite intensive efforts on national as well as on international level, the complete eradication of CSF in Europe has proved to be elusive. | 06.04.2009
Success stories: The EU-funded project RAMSOIL (FP6-SSP-2006-044240) have presented the results of their two-year studies on Harmonization of Risk Assessment Methodologies for Soil Threats in Europe in a Workshop held in Brussels on January 26th 2009. More than 30 people participated in representation of stakeholders from 12 European countries. The European Commission was represented by officers from relevant services in DG ENV, DG AGRI and DG RTD.
