Modal split in the inland transport of the EU - Issue number 35/2008 - Products Statistics in Focus

The freight and passenger transport for 2006, measured in tonne-kilometres and passenger-kilometres, are shown for the inland transport modes (rail, road, inland waterways and pipelines). Trends are analyzed and the modal split - the share of each transport mode - is described. Additionally, the methodology for collecting the data for each mode is presented.
