Back Main stages in the meat food chain in Europe - Issue number 6/2006


The statistics included in this report are intended to describe different aspects of the « Food chain of meat in Europe ». The report presents data following the 'farm to fork' approach. It includes data on availability of meat products, relative price levels of meat products, the degree of self-sufficiency, meat sales and processing of meat products as well as main inputs into the meat chain like livestock numbers and volume of imports of animal products. The analysis is carried out for all EU-25 countries.
