The Guide to statistics in European Commission development co-operation is an interactive tool aimed at supporting EU staff in the delegations and other services in the Commission working in cooperation and development, but it is also relevant to others involved in statistical development, cooperation programmes and related initiatives. The aim of the Guide is to give practical and detailed answers to the following questions: the role of statistics in the development process, the identification and development of actions to support statistics and the use of statistical indicators to define and follow-up co-operation programmes, including sector policies.
