European Water Conference
Brussels, 22&23 March 2007
The European Commission's Environment Directorate-General,
in cooperation with the Joint Research Centre, Eurostat and
the European Environment Agency organised the European Water
Conference 2007 on 22-23 March 2007 in Brussels. The opening
of the conference coincided with World
Water Day.
At the conference Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas
presented the first implementation report for the Water Framework
Directive. On the same day, the Water Information System for
Europe (WISE) was launched: WISE is available at http://water.europa.eu
- it allows you to access a wide variety of water-related
services and data provided by the EU institutions.
