Description
Slender bird (L 20 cm), sandy-coloured, with long legs and short and curved bill. The Cream-coloured Courser lives in semi-desert sandy-rocky plains and sand-dunes. Resident.

Reasons for the need for protection/inclusion in annex I
In the past the eggs of Cream-coloured Courser were very heavily collected, which contributed to the rarity of the species. Nowadays, the small numbers (less than 250 pairs) and the loss of habitats (agricultural and urban development) are the major threats.
