In previous years the number of disabled people has increased. These problems effect not only family life but also working life or employment of these people. Selection of new forms and methodologies in education process of disabled people will contribute to their fast and better inclusion in healthy population. The project brings new methodology to effect disabled children, and provide their integration in healthy population. It will be implemented as in social-pedagogical institution „House of Children“ where complex conditions will be created for disabled children.
DP is created by these partners:
- Association to help people with mental disability in Stropkov – lead partner
- Labour Office in Stropkov
- Town Stropkov
- Elementary Clerical School in Stropkov

Objective

The main project objective is to verify innovative project of third sector participation in solving problems of involving marginalized groups of health-disabled people in labour market. Specific objective is to prepare teachers, social workers and parents of health-disabled children for implementation of specialised educational process according to individual pedagogy of Marie Montessori and this will strengthen social inclusion of children with combined health disability in social environment.

Compare to present situation, project outcomes will be innovative in the following way:
- health-disabled children will be in school education lead to integration in environment of healthy children
- education of disabled children by Montessori pedagogy will involve parents also
- disabled children will receive complex services in social-education institution „House of Children“
- possibility for parents of disabled children to integrate in working process with provision of social and educational activities for changing professional orientation

Project contributes to elimination of unequal opportunities:
1. for parents of disabled children, who at present are excluded from social life due to the need of extreme care for children. At least one of parents can not work in his/her profession.
2. disabled children will have protected workshops and can join in working process and slowly integrate in healthy population
3. project and its outcomes do not effect environment in negative way

Project will be monitored continuously by project team and also by external officer on quarterly bases. Monitoring reports will be delivered to Managing Authority for EQUAL. Project team is composed of – project manager, coordinator, administrator, executive officers of partnership organisations. Individual members will share the responsibilities for project activities.

What are the objectives of your collaboration? Indicate similarities and differences to objectives in the national work.

Because our identified common problem is the high unemployment of the disadvantaged groups of people (as well as the other problems associated with it) our preliminary task will be to monitor the situation on the labour market and there especially the situation of target groups of disadvantaged people.

Our common obyective is to involve the disadvantaged groups of people (disadvantaged by health or mental disabilities, by social exclusion etc.) into the working process. This task needs the group of different actions. One of these actions is the creation and the successive implementation of a plan for the training, the sensitisation and for the professional development of the operators and the external stakeholders. The other action is to create or develop the instruments that are necessary in the promotion of enterpreneurship and business creation. For the most important objective, which is to influence the law production and also the sensitisation of policy makers for the problems of high unemployment and social exclusion of disadvantaged groups of people, we need some transparent and highly efficient tools for the measurement of the impact of the organisation’s performance in focused area of the social problems. Our objective is to design, to test and to use these measurement tools firstly for monitoring and the evaluation of the performances of individual organisations in focused part of the social area and secondly for the monitoring and the evaluation of our tasks and objectives.

Association to help people with mental disabilities

Rationale

V posledných rokoch sa počet zdravotne postihnutých občanov zvyšuje, resp. počet občanov s trvalými zdravotnými problémami. Tieto ich problémy zasahujú nielen do ich rodinného života, ale zásadným sposobom vstupujú do ich doterajšieho pracovného zaradenia, resp. do zamestnania. Výber a zaradenie nových foriem a metodík do výchovne vzdelávacieho procesu zdravotne postihnutých občanov prispieva k ich rýchlejšej a kvalitnejšej inklúzii medzi zdravé obyvateľstvo. Nevyhnutným predpokladom pre takýto spôsob prípravy skupiny zdravotne postihnutých je nová špeciálna odborná príprava celého okolia - pedagógov, výchovných pracovníkov a rodičov, hlavne v našich okrajových regiónoch, ktorá je predmetom tohto projektu.

Oproti súčasnému stavu prináša novú metodiku pedagogického pôsobenia na zdravotne postihnuté deti, akcentuje ich individualitu, využíva nové didaktické pomôcky, uvoľňuje ich aktivitu a v spolupráci s partnermi v rámci rozvojového partnerstva zabezpečuje proces ich integrácie medzi zdravú populáciu. Projekt bude implementovaný v sociálno-pedagogickom zariadení „ DOM DETÍ budú pre zdravotne postihnuté deti vytvorené komplexné podmienky.

Rozvojové partnerstvo tvoria inštitúcie:

- OZ Združenie na pomoc ľuďom s mentálnym postihnutím v Stropkove – vedúci partner, MVO

- Úrad práce, sociálnych vecí a rodiny v Stropkove – štátna správa

- Mesto Stropkov - samospráva)

- CZŠ sv. Petra a Pavla v Stropkove – cirkevná základná škola

Objective

Hlavným cieľom projektu je overenie inovatívneho projektu angažovanosti tretieho sektora v riešení problémov uplatnenia sa marginalizovaných skupín zdravotne postihnutých občanov pre trh práce

Špecifickým cieľom projektu je pripraviť pedagógov, sociálnych pracovníkov a rodičov zdravotne postihnutých detí na implementáciu vysoko odborného výchovne vzdelávacieho procesu podľa individuálnej pedagogiky Márie Montessoriovej a tým cielene posilniť sociálnu inklúziu detí s kombinovaným zdravotným postihnutím na začlenenie sa do spoločenského prostredia. Decentralizovať tieto služby pre zdravotne postihnuté deti do regiónov Stropkov a Vranov n/T,odľahčiť služby rodinám s postihnutými deťmi a poskytnúť im možnosť zabezpečiť si riadne pracovné uplatnenie.

Overiť v našich podmienkach pedagogiku Márie Montessoriovej vo výchovne vzdelávacom procese,poskytnúť poznatky a skúsenosti z aplikácie pre ďalšie centrá detí s kombinovaným zdravotným postihnutím a taktiež overiť model spolupráce organizácií v rámci rozvojového partnerstva.

Innovation

Oproti doterajšiemu stavu, výstupy s projektu budú inovatívne v tom, že:

• Zdravotne postihnuté deti už v období školskej výchovy budú vedené k integrácii do prostredia zdravých detí

• Na výchove zdravotne postihnutých detí zavedením Montessori pedagogikou sa budú podieľať aj rodičia

• Zdravotne postihnutým deťom budú poskytnuté komplexné služby v sociálno-pedagogickom zariadení „DOM DETÍ“

• Možnosť návratu rodičov postihnutých detí do pracovného procesu so zabezpečením sociálnych a vzdelávacích aktivít na zmenu profesnej orientácie

1. Projekt prispieva k eliminácii nerovnosti príležitostí:

a.) pre rodičov zdravotne postihnutých detí, ktorí sú v súčasnosti z dôvodu potreby extrémnej starostlivosti na okraji spoločenského diania. Jeden z rodičov sa nemôže realizovať v svojej profesii.V sociálno-pedagogickom centre bude zdravotne postihnutým deťom venovaná individuálna starostlivosť, výchova podľa pedagogiky Márie Montesso riovej, ďalšia starostlivosť tak, aby rodičia detí mohli plne pracovať, čím im bude umožnená plná zamestnateľnosť. Tým sa pre rodičov zdravotne postinutých detí dosiahne „ rovnosť príležitostí“ s ostatnými rodičmi zdravých detí.

b.) Zdravotne postihnuté deti budú mať vytvorené chránené dielne, budú sa môcť zapojiť do pracovného procesu a postupne sa integrovať do zdravej populácie.

2. Projekt a výstupy z neho nevplývajú nepriaznivo na životné prostredie. Ich vplyv charakterizujeme ako neutrálny.
