The OP is meant to: 1. create an awareness and a focus on entrepreneurship; 2. make (would be) starters aware of what it takes to start ones own company. Most educationnal institutions do not make students aware of the option for an own company. With the consequences of a not optimal functioning society in regard to entrepreneurship, innovation and employment. For people who do not participate in the labor-process, the start of ones own company is often the best (and sometimes only) option to get a paid job. In an own company it is better to take special characteristics of ones own personnality into consideration.

Objective

The OP will develop means with which one can learn to be an entrepreneur. This means are based on simulation of experiences. The means (the startersgame) will be used in the last year of the middle and higher eductional institutions. Professors will be trained to use the game with their students. The same kind of means (startersgame) will be used in the social security environment to offer people who are already out of job for a longer period of an alternative: the start of their own company. They will experience what this means and what it takes.

Dit project is gericht op het leren ondernemen door middel van gesimuleerde ervaringen. Het gebruik van speltheorie voor het brengen van awareness voor het ondernemerschap is nieuw. Vernieuwend is ook de inbreng in een dergelijk startersspel van de markt en de maatschappij middels het deelnemen van actoren uit deze partijen. Het startersspel wordt als een zelf te spelen spel bij de doelgroep (scholen/gemeenten/reintegratiebedrijven) neergezet met een train-de-trainersprogramma. Het kan dus breed en op elk moment worden ingezet. In het kader van dit project zullen derhalve een aantal scholen en gemeenten de beschikking krijgen over het startersspel. Kernwoorden tav het spel voor vernieuwing: leuk om te spelen, reeel situatie, marktgericht en marktondersteund, leerzaam voor de echte starter.

Empowerment will be ensured through the following: Huygens and Technopartner have there connections and are directly involved in startups. They can facilitate those would be startups with the next stage. Stimulans is involved in those people with a distance to the labor-market, has it's own database for those people and already trains them in other aspects. De Vier Essen is projectmanagement and coordination. The OP for this activity: XLX, will do the introduction of the product. Next to the empowerment within the OP, there will be empowerment partners (f.i. educational institutions).

Start-up simulation in education

Rationale

Het OP is opgericht om: 1. een bewustwording en focus te creeren op zelfstandig ondernemerschap; 2. (would be) starters bewust te maken wat er nodig is om een iegen bedrijf te beginnen. Met name is er in het onderwijs te weinig focus om studenten bewust te maken van het straten van een eigen bedrijf na de schooltijd. Dit leidt tot een niet optimaal functionerende maatschappij in termen van ondernemen, vernieuwing en werkgelegenheid. Ook voor mensen met een achterstand op de arbeidsmarkt is soms het alternatief van een eigen bedrijf de meest gangbare dan wel de enig openstaande optie om weer een betaalde arbeid te krijgen. In een eigen bedrijf immers is veel beter in te spelen op eigenschappen die in de mens zelf zijn gelegen en een drempel vormen voor een "vaste" baan.

Objective

De doelstelling van het OP is gericht op het vergroten van het aantal ondernemers en het verbeteren van de kansen van "nieuwe" ondernemers door het opzetten van hulpmiddelen voor het leren van ondernemen door middel van gesimuleerde ervaringen. De hulpmiddelen (het startersspel) zal worden ingezet in de laatste fase van het HBO en MBO onderwijs. Docenten zal worden opgeleid dit spel zelf met de studenten te spelen. Een zelfde set hulpmiddelen (het startersspel) zal worden ingezet bij gemeenten om mensen die langdurig uit het arbeidsproces zijn een alternatief te bieden van betaalde arbeid middels een eigen bedrijf: ze worden hierop bewust gemaakt en zij ervaren wat eigen ondernemerschap betekent en wat daar voor nodig is.

Door de genoemde samenwerkingspartijen is sprake van empowerment, zoals hier bedoeld. Huygens heeft zijn connecties en rechtstreekse betrokkenheid bij startende bedrijven en kan ze nadat ze de keuze hebben gemaakt voor zelfstarten verder begeleiden. Stimulans heeft zijn betrokkenheid bij de mensen met een achterstand en heeft hier eigen bestanden voor en begeleid op dit moment mensen die voor dit project in aanmerking komen. Technopartners heeft de opdracht van de overheid om meer starters te faciliteren. De Vier Essen is projectleider en coordinator. Een op te zetten samenwerkingsorganisatie XLX zal de verdere introductie verzorgen als activerende partij. Naast bovengenoemde empowerment binnen het OP, werkt dit project met zgn. empowerment partners, bv onderwijsinstellingen. Deze kunnen vanwege kruisbelangen met andere onderwijsinstellingen geen OP worden maar krijgen wel een meewerkende status als Empowerment partner
