The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) brings together cities, industry and citizens to improve urban life through more sustainable integrated solutions.
This includes applied innovation, better planning, a more participatory approach, higher energy efficiency, better transport solutions, intelligent use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), etc.
The Invitation for Commitments closed on 15 June. 370 eligible commitments were submitted by over 3000 partners. See info graphic . All commitments are published on the online marketplace http://eu-smartcities.eu/ .
The first public draft of the Operational Implementation Plan , the operational annex to the Strategic Implementation Plan , has now also been published and gives a wealth of detailed examples for integrated smart city solutions.
