Call for proposals – Europe for Citizens programme

28/08/2017

On the 26th of August the European Commission published its call for proposals for operating grants under the Europe for Citizens' programme. The Europe for Citizens programme (EfCP)[1] aims to contribute to citizens' understanding of the Union, its history and diversity, to foster European citizenship and to improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at Union level. In the period 2014-2020, the programme is implemented through two strands:

  • strand 1: European remembrance: initiatives related to history with a strong impact on the present times, notably through the causes of totalitarian regimes and their consequences
  • strand 2: Democratic engagement and civic participation at Union level: this strand is implemented through three measures:
        - town twinning;
        - network of towns;
        - civil society projects.

Please note that the deadline for applications is on 18 October 2017.
