Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics, and the President of the European Youth Forum, Luis Alvarado Martinez, visited D'broej - Centrum West in Molenbeek, a district of Brussels. The centre organises educational, cultural and sport activities for children and young people with fewer opportunities living in the area. Commissioner Navracsics and President Martinez were joined by the local mayor, Françoise Schepmans, for the visit, which was followed by a Citizens’ Dialogue with around 50 young people aged 16 to 24, as well as some of their families, youth workers and volunteers working at the centre. Commissioner Navracsics and President Martinez discussed topics such as how to better connect youth with the European project, the opportunities offered to young people by the Erasmus+ programme and the role of culture and sport in building communities.
