The Commission is proposing a renewed European Union Youth Strategy for the period 2019-2027. It will strengthen the EU's outreach to and dialogue with young people, building on the achievements of the current youth policy cooperation.
Due to delays in agreeing the legal framework for the European Solidarity Corps a transitional period was put in place before this new initiative will be adopted later this year.
