Finding volunteering opportunities is now easier

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) in the Erasmus+ programme supports young people to carry out cross-border volunteering activities. The EVS Volunteering Database has been re-launched with new features that make it easier for young people to find and apply for international volunteering opportunities.

 

New network to strengthen youth work

The European Network of Local Departments for Youth Work – InterCityYouth- was launched in November.  The overall aim is to enhance the quality of youth work in the EU countries.

 

Empowering young people in Europe

The photo exhibition "Empowering young people in Europe" organised by European Commission in co-operation with the governments of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, was launched under the patronage of Commissioner Vassiliou last 19 June.

 

The review of Europe 2020 has been launched

The European Union's Strategy for long-term growth and job creation, Europe 2020, is under review. The Commission launched on 5 May 2014 a public consultation on the future of Europe 2020. This consultation will be open until 31 October 2014. All interested parties are invited to take part and make their views on Europe 2020 and its future development heard.

 

European Youth Event (EYE) 2014

If Europe's future was in the hands of its 90 million young people, what would they propose in order to make Europe a better place to live in? With around six million young people aged 15-24 unemployed in the EU today, what recommendations would young people address to policy-makers?
