On 1 July 2017, two new high speed rail lines Paris-Bordeaux and Paris-Rennes were inaugurated in the presence of President Emmanuel Macron and Minister Nicolas Hulot.


On 17 March 2016, a new Information centre focused upon the ongoing construction of the Brenner Base Tunnel was ceremonially opened in Steinach, Austria.

The new information centre, granted the moniker 'Tunnel World', opened its doors to the public for the first time in the presence of the Governor of Tyrol, Günther Platter and the European Coordinator for the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Core Network Corridor, Pat Cox.
