Privacy

The Commission and its departments process different types of personal data when selecting members and observers of expert groups and when organising and managing meetings of expert groups. It also publishes certain types of personal data on the Register of Commission expert groups and other similar entities.

Two privacy statements (Privacy statement for the organisation of meetings and Privacy statement for the selection of members) describe what types of personal data the Commission departments process, as well as the reason for the processing, the way the Commission departments collect, handle and ensure protection of all personal data provided, how that information is used and what rights the data subjects have in relation to their personal data.

The two privacy statements are included in records which have been notified to the Data Protection Officer of the Commission and are pending approval.
