When we check an EORI number, we get the message that the number is valid, but no further information (such as an address) about where the company is located is provided. No further details, only "number is valid". Why is the address not displayed? How can this be changed?

The European Commission is not the organisation that delivers the EORI number, the delivery is done by the national Customs administrations. If the company requested its EORI number to the National administration without explicitly authorising the publication of its contact details (name & address), then the address of the company is not published on website, for data protection reasons. We invite you to contact your national administration in order to update the EORI contact details which will be automatically updated on the website (databases are daily synchronised).
