2020 #BeActive Awards finalists announced

The #BeActive Awards competition is a key element of the European Week of Sport. It was created to support projects and individuals dedicated to the promotion of sport and physical activity across Europe.

The sixth edition will take place online on 8 December from 16.00 to 17.30. Commissioner Gabriel will award the winners for each categories: Education, Workplace and Local Hero. The three winners will receive €10 000, and each of the finalists €2 500.

95 projects were submitted in 2020, an increase of 50% in comparison to 2019.

A dedicated High Level Jury evaluated the projects in order to select the best nine entries.
