An activitiy that the Agency has implemented 2 years in a row, became tradition and this year, the Agency in collaboration with National Federations, clubs, ambassadors, and sport professionals will inspire individuals from all ages to come out and jump together. The goal is to get individuals active and show them that even with the pandemic and health restrictions we can stay safe and be active.
Inclusion means people having a sense of belonging, of being comfortable in being part of something they value. Diversity means being aware of, accommodating, and celebrating difference.
BeActive Night will be taking place online as well as possibly on MTV (channel 3) for the wider audience to join in and be active. Our ambassadors, a few clubs and national federations will join in the schedule and perform a diverse range of sport and recreational activities to inspire individuals from home to join in on the fun. The idea is to get people active in their own homes and present some challenging activities that they can participate in from the comfort of their home against different individuals throughout the country. The live presentations by our sport professionals will be recorded from Boris Trajkovski (the largest sport center in North Macedonia) located in Skopje as well as from Ohrid. There will also be musical sport events, where a few starts from North Macedonia will sign and be active inspiring everyone from home to get up and move. A link for zoom will be provided for all participants to join in for each activitiy starting at 18:00 and ending at 22:00 in the evening.
During the school day, the national coordinating body in collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, local clubs, physical educators, sport professionals, ambassadors and athletes will be organizing 10 different events with primary school children presenting their favorite sport activities of their schools. The events will be recorded and made visible on our websites to share with the wider public and inspire all young children to get be inspired and creative while being active. Each school will also register on the on the official website, www.essd.eu, in order to share their videos on the website as well as take part of another event organized in collaboration with the Federation of Sport Pedagogue from North Macedonia.
Research shows that being active makes students healthier and better learners in the classroom. School spirit improves too with fun and inclusive team sports.
In order to stay safe, stay 2 meters away and still get active, the Agency in collaboration with sport clubs, national federations and sport professionals will be organizing a climb 5 kg climb where a group of 6 people will have 1 ambassador leading them at a distance from the next group and as each group gets to the middle of the mountain range Vodno, there will be stations where up to 3 people will be able to take part and participate in different sport challenges. This way the activity will get individuals active while they stay safe.
