Why did we choose a #5minChallenge?
Research increasingly shows that even a moderate amount of regular, physical activity can have signficant benefits to a person's long-term health. Even five minutes of high-energy exercise per day can have a lasting effect. Further, 2019 marks the 5th anniversary of the European Week of Sport - and we want to celebrate with examples of how the Week has helped all of us to #BeActive.
When is the competition running?
The Competition is running on Twitter and Instagram between 27/08/2019 and 28/09/2019 (midnight CET).
Great! How do I get started?
It's easy! Post a video or photo of yourself on social media doing 5 minutes of physical activity. Don’t forget to add both the #5minChallenge and #BeActive hashtags. This could be anything from your daily workout to running up and down the stairs or a bunch of sit-ups if you’re super energetic – it’s up to you!
Fill in the Challenge form - the link is posted in the terms and conditions, which can be found at the bottom of this page.
Post your #5minChallenge photo or video from the Twitter or Instagram account you entered in the Challenge form. The post must be public. You must also include the following:
- On Twitter: use the hashtags #5minChallenge + #BeActive
- On Instagram: use the hashtag #5minChallenge + @european_youth_eu
The best submissions win a prize!
