Join us for the sixth edition of the European Vocational Skills Week - the annual Week celebrating all the very best practices in Vocational Education and Training (VET), welcoming events by local, regional, national organisations and other VET partners. Launched in 2016, the European Commission initiative brings all stakeholders – teachers, organisations, students, and trainers – together under one umbrella to showcase the many benefits VET offers young people and adults alike. With an eye to the future skillsets that will be required and the other on the realities of the current labour market, VET aims to equip everyone with the necessary quality skills to unleash their true potential.
Discover the inspiring programme of events to be held during the Week (16-20 May) on the Week’s digital hub and register your attendance today.
This year, the Week will be held 16-20 May across Europe and centre on the theme of VET and the Green Transition. The theme is in line with the European Commission’s commitment to taking all the necessary steps to become carbon neutral by 2050, known as the European Green Deal, including equipping people with the appropriate skills for the transition.
Get Involved: How can you take part in the European Vocational Skills Week?
You can participate in an event or link your event to the Week – either during the Week itself or any time before or after. We will provide you with a myriad of resources and information to help you promote it. You can also nominate and vote for the VET Excellence Awards’ recipients, and share your VET story to inspire more people to: #DiscoverYourTalent and learn about #EUVocationalSkills.
Do you have an inspiring story linked to best practices in VET that you would like to share? Through your story, you can shine a light on how others can participate in VET to reach their potential: #DiscoverYourTalent.
Local, regional, and national organisations across Europe can link their events to the Week and host them anytime – prior, during or after the Week – whether in person, online or both. Benefit from co-promotional outreach. Register your event here.
Many National Contact Points around Europe are stepping up to partner with us, supporting local event organisers and helping spread the word about the Week and linked events and activities.
