The Awards aim to:

  • recognise excellence;
  • provide visibility;
  • motivate the participants, whether individuals or organisations;
  • foster the building of networks and new career opportunities;
  • enable the winners to be recognised in their field of expertise;
  • reach out to citizens through online voting.

How are the awards organised?

A jury of independent members is established for each award. Each jury identifies two nominees from the pool of applications. After the jury has finalised the pre-selection of two nominees (step 1 of the selection process), the nominees will be put forward for online voting (step 2). The online voting kicks off on 25 April and closes on 15 May. The celebratory Award Ceremony will take place alongside the announcement of the winners on 18 May.

The 2022 VET Excellence Awards Categories

By recognising best practices in VET by committed people and organisations, as well as outstanding projects, the VET Excellence Awards inspire current and future VET stakeholders to emulate their example of excellence. This year the theme of the Week and of the Awards centres around the European Union's commitment to A European Green Deal and the road towards the Green Transition - ensuring everyone has the right skills for the transition.
