PES share insights into becoming more customer-centric
While techniques such as measuring customer satisfaction are already widespread, some PES in Europe have started to directly involve customers in the design process itself. Several public employment services (PES) from Europe came together in Stockholm, on 25-26 September 2019, for a ‘thematic review workshop’ on such co-creation of services hosted by Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish PES.

The PES Network is ready to take up the next level of cooperation, developing new ideas and solutions together with partners in a PES EU Innovation Lab. Inspired by successful examples in France and Flanders, an EU-wide PES innovation lab is being launched.

Updated EU skills profile tool for third country nationals
Public Employment Services (PES) can benefit from a newly updated online tool intended to help map the skills, qualifications and work experiences of asylum seekers, refugees and other third country nationals in order to facilitate their integration into the labour market and wider society.

PES Network concludes landmark year
2019 was a landmark year for the European PES Network, with five years of valuable PES collaboration recognised by a formal evaluation and a European Commission proposal to continue the Network until 2027.

European PES learning how to use key performance indicators more effectively
Public Employment Services (PES) have been exchanging about how new types of key performance indicator (KPI) and target setting can deliver on a broader understanding of performance in the sector. PES representatives from six EU countries came together on 22-23 October 2019 for a PES Network ‘thematic learning dialogue’ on improved performance management hosted by the German PES, Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA) in Nuremberg.
