Vilnius Factoring Company to issue €10m in new microloans
Micro-enterprises and farmers in Lithuania can now benefit from non-banking business funding opportunities under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI). Vilnius Factoring Company, a private lending company in Lithuania, has signed a cooperation agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) to issue microloans of up to €25,000.
First operations to support microfinance in Romania under EaSI

Six microfinance institutions awarded under the European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision
On 13 December 2018, the Code of Good Conduct Steering Committee decided to award six microfinance institutions the certificate of compliance with the Code, based on the results of the evaluations. The certificate is valid for three years.
EaSI Guarantee case study: Neapolide Cooperativa Sociale - rascals at work
With the help of an EU-guaranteed loan, Immacolata founded the Lazarelle cooperative in Pozzuoli, Napoli, in southern Italy. The idea was to create a coffee roaster inside the jail premises, valorising local tradition and fostering social inclusion in parallel.
