ESF+ project helps Ukrainian refugees rebuild their lives in Poland
The project ‘Przystań Centre for Social Integration in Łapy project’, co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+), was initially developed to help unemployed Polish people to find work, having successfully helped 90 Polish residents find jobs. However, with the onset of war, it was expanded to support 20 Ukrainians who are rebuilding their life in Poland.

European funds help supporting Ukrainians refugees in Italy
The Lazio Region (Italy) is at the forefront of welcoming those fleeing conflict in Ukraine. The Region allocated €10 million of European Social Fund (ESF+) funding thanks to the flexibility allowed under the Cohesion’s Action for Refugees in Europe (CARE) and launched a call for project proposals to promote the integration of people who arrived from the war zone in Ukraine and are now living in the Lazio region.

ESF+ project in Poland helps Ukrainian war refugees
The ‘Lubelskie helps Ukraine’ project assists Ukrainians fleeing the war to help them integrate into Polish society. It is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion’s Action for Refugees in Europe (CARE).The project provides advice on dealing with everyday life and legal matters, as well as translation and interpretation services. It assists disabled people and provides psychological support to respond to the impact of the war on mental health.

Ukrainian refugees find work in Bulgaria
The ‘Solidarity’ project aims to help Ukrainians settle into Bulgarian life by making it easier for them to find a job. The project is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and the Territories of Europe (REACT-EU). It provides accommodation and financial support as well as workshops to develop job skills.
