Peer Review on “Towards a more dynamic collective bargaining”, Lisbon (Portugal), 23-24 October 2017

Following recent labour market reforms in Portugal, the extension by administrative decision of collective agreements and the expiration or renewal of collective agreements have been contentious issues in the Portuguese industrial/ labour relations debate.

Portugal is therefore, as part of its ongoing assessment and review of the collective bargaining system, seeking to share knowledge and exchange experiences with other European labour market administrations and experts. This includes countries that have recently introduced similar reforms or legal changes. It was anticipated that this Peer Review informed the national debate in Portugal as well as provided wider learning outcomes.

The event was hosted by the Portuguese Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and was organised under the Mutual Learning Programme. The Peer Review was attended by the following countries: Austria, Cyprus, France, The Netherlands, Norway, Serbia and Spain.
