Dissemination Seminar - The value of mutual learning in policy making

How have MLP activities informed or influenced the way policy issues or themes are addressed at the national level? In what way have the MLP activities encouraged further exchanges between countries?

These and other related questions were discussed at a Dissemination Seminar of the Mutual Learning Programme (MLP) on 9 December 2016.

The seminar was opened by a high profile panel consisting of Ms Ylva Johansson (Minister for Employment, Sweden), Mr Peter Pogačar (State Secretary of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Slovenia) as well as Dr. Detlef Eckert (Director, European Commission). In addition to their relevant positions, Ms Johansson and Mr Pogačar have also actively contributed as participants in previous MLP activities.

The seminar provided an opportunity to showcase and discuss the rich lessons and insights shared by government institutions and experts during this four-year cycle. The seminar focused on the value of mutual learning through practical experiences of international experts, national officials and policy makers around specific topics: skills, migration, youth and labour market reforms.

The seminar was targeted at international experts, national officials and policy makers that have or may benefit from mutual learning activities.
