EaSI information session on the call for proposals for National Contact Points

The information session provided to about 20 participants more information and guidance on the call for proposals for the support to National Contact Points (NCPs) for the Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) strand of the European Social Fund plus (ESF+).

EC staff gave an overview and explained the objective of the call, the criteria for participation, the eligibility and the outcome desired.

The Commission foresees one NCP per country. This means that for federal countries their regions need to apply as a consortium or affiliated entities. The NCP does not have to be a public body, but it needs to be designated by the authority in charge of the EaSI strand to be the country's NCP.

In addition, participants received some helpful tips and suggestions and were guided through the main steps of the application process. They also obtained more information on the recently awarded projects creating Competence Centres on Social Innovation with whom the NCPs will be cooperating closely in the future.

Moreover, the event was a great opportunity to answer questions from the audience on the call requirements and applications process.
