Gender and social inequalities affect young people’s health and well-being according to WHO study
The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study shows that 80% of respondents report high levels of life satisfaction, but gender factors like gender and socioeconomic status adversely affect health choices. The report is updated every four years and has provided information on the health, well-being, social environment and health behaviour of 11-, 13- and 15-year-old young people for over 30 years.

Young people and the labour market: a tale of two NEETs
Those suffering the most from the great recession of 2009 were arguably young people. Many of those leaving school to enter the world of work saw their chances on the labour market dramatically reduced. From 2008 to 2013, the employment rate for the 15-24 age group dropped from 37.3% to 32.1%. Over the same period, the unemployment rate increased from 15.9% to reach the historical peak of 23.7% in 2013.

Commission proposes €1.8 million from Globalisation Fund to Belgium
