The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) helps people who have been made redundant as a result of globalisation. Personal stories from Finland, after the decline of Nokia-Microsoft, show the beneficial impact of the EGF on the economy and society: supporting highly skilled workers in the technology sector and the replacement of a multinational corporation with smaller independent enterprises.
