The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) is an EU instrument that provides support to workers made redundant and self-employed persons whose activities have ceased as a consequence of major restructuring events resulting from changes in global trade patterns due to globalisation or financial and economic crisis.
This evaluation study assesses to what extent the EGF has attained its objectives during the 2014-2020 period.
Overall, the EGF has been successful in providing support to and showing solidarity with workers, self-employed persons, and (in some cases) young persons affected by major restructuring events. The Fund remains relevant and useful, although there is room to reconsider its scope in terms of whom it targets and under what circumstances; to simplify or shorten administrative procedures; and to better monitor the results of the interventions.Kataloški br. : KE-02-20-968-EN-N
