Period of consultationfrom :     27/11/2017     To :   07/01/2018
Objective of the consultation

In his 2017 State of the Union address, President Juncker announced plans for a European Labour Authority (ELA) that would ensure that EU rules on labour mobility are enforced in a fair, simple and effective way and to create a European Social Security Number (ESSN) that should simplify and modernise citizens' interaction with administrations in a wide range of policy areas. Legislative proposals for both initiatives are announced in the European Commission's Work Programme for 2018 and planned for adoption by Q2 of 2018.

The aim of this public consultation is to collect the views and opinions of interested parties on these issues in order to inform the impact assessment process.
