The europatriates have developed a 6 point concept for fighting youth unemployment in Europe and have been starting to implement it. Key activities are:

  • Talent Diagnostics: Improving quality of matching for apprenticeships.
  • Employment Radar: Increasing the number of new trend-based jobs.
  • European exchange program for (dual) apprenticeship, self-employment-training or direct job placement - enhancing mobility
  • European Social Franchising Network: sharing best practise and next generation services against youth unemployment over a sustainable, decentralised, European network.
The europatriates have organised the 1st European operational congress on Solutions against Youth Unemployment 2014 in Saarbrucken under the auspices of J.M. Barroso, President of the European Commission. Promoting apprenticeship was one topic.
