Description:

In order to be prepared for the future it is vital to be willing to break new ground. To preserve and improve our citizens’ quality of life we continually expand the quality of our services. Therefore, we are working to become a trendsetter for developing a “smart city”. The ideal conjunction of different types of transportation and information is equally as essential as smart meters and intelligent energy grids. We work in close collaboration with research and development to assure a good future for Vienna.

Wiener Stadtwerke currently trains around 400 apprentices. To reach this high-level target also for the future we need perfectly trained employees in all sectors. We pledge to work for better gender balance in our technical professions, strengthen the quality of our work-based learning and enhance the attractiveness of vocational education and training (VET) and of dual apprenticeships in particular.
