Description:WorldSkills Europe connects members, international industry partners, governmental agencies and educational institutions on a European platform to promote vocational education and training
excellence and encourage world class standards of skills and competences in Europe.
Moreover, it provides a unique means of exchange and comparison of European-class competency
standards in the industrial trades and service sectors of the global economy.
WorldSkills Europe likes to connect all European initiatives in the field of Skills Excellence with the instrument of Skills competitions and encourage the exchange of Best Practices in this field. To do so, the organisation uses different instruments such as the yearly General Assembly, the biannual (every even year) EuroSkills event; the European Skills Competition and the participation of Europe in the biannual (every odd year) WorldSkills event.
At the EuroSkills event the best of Europe’s young Skilled workers in the age to 25 years old, from
around 30 countries, meet. These European Competitors are encouraged to showcase Skills
Excellence in their skills profession of choice. Besides that, the event inspires tens of thousands
young visitors to experience and learn about the possibilities for a skilled future in Europe.
