The European Alliance for Apprenticeships is a multi-stakeholder initiative steered by the European Commission. The originator of the pledge is solely responsible for implementing the actions outlined in the pledge.
|Author:||ANAEPA - The National association of artisans of construction decorators, house painter or similar|
|Types of organisation:||Professional bodies and networks|
The pledge aims at improving the quality elements of apprenticeships, in particular by cooperating with the companies of the construction sector and the training centres.
This will be achieved by increasing awareness and providing information to the territorial associations which are in contact with the companies. Some initiatives to promote training events for apprenticeships are foreseen for the local representatives in the construction sector, in cooperation with the European Builders' Association (EBC) and the publication of information on the website of ANAEPA.
Moreover, apprenticeships will be promoted, in particular concerning the safety and professionalism of construction workers, through FORMEDIL, a national institution for education and professional training in the construction sector (established by Labour Unions). FORMEDIL's responsibilities include the implementation and coordination at the national level of training, qualification and requalification of the workers in the field of construction. These activities are undertaken in the specific centres for the education and territorial construction schools (e.g. "MICS" modules which are integrated compulsory modules for health and safety in the construction sector addressed to new workers and apprentices).
