Global Leader Session: NOKIA

Copper Hall, 10/03/2014 (11:30-12:45)

Over the past 150 years, Nokia has evolved from a riverside paper mill in South Western Finland to a global telecommunications leader connecting over 1.3 billion people. How can a paper mill industry become a global communications leader? How can research and innovation help to achieve this leadership position? How does a regulatory framework hamper or support such a target? The session will look at lessons to be drawn from Nokia's success, with particular focus on facing challenges and developing strategic foresight, as well as providing indications on future developments in the relevant market.
