Programme description
Main objectives
The Programme aims to contribute to achieving the Europe 2020 targets for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. 50% of the overall budget is allocated to research and innovation and 50% to low carbon economy (technical assistance excluded).
Funding priorities
The Programme will focus on the following priorities:
- Increasing research activities in particular in the sectors identified in the Smart Specialisation Strategy
- Encouraging low carbon economy (renewable energies, energy efficiency in buildings and sustainable multimodal urban mobility)
Expected impacts
- Creation of 70 FTE in public research
- Increase the number of SMEs involved in research by 300
- Increase the number of households with improved energy consumption classification by 60
- reduce annually the Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 15,000 tonnes of CO2eq
- Additional production of 5MW from renewable sources of energy
- Increase the number of persons using sustainable urban infrastructure by 15,000
