Finalist: Iron-Age-Danube

Public Vote
Rank # 8

You probably accidentally step on remains of your unknown archaeological heritage from the early Iron Age, 800-400 BC. This period of wealth in Europe when people were mining iron and salt, lived in hillfort settlements and erected monumental burial mounds, had an abrupt end but the graves and defensive walls are still shaping today's landscape. The Iron-Age-Danube project, a partnership of five nations, is all about bringing these lost landscapes back into the awareness of future generations.

The ranking shows the preliminary results, based on the votes received through the InfoRegio website and does not contain the additional social media votes of the last week. The final winner of the public choice award will be announced during the award ceremony at 19:00 9 October 2018!
