Cross border Community Paramedic Project

The CAWT Community Paramedic Project is targeting patient populations in remote and rural / border areas of the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland & Scotland in four pilot localities. Community Paramedics (CPs) are highly trained Ambulance staff who have undergone further specialised training to enable them to see and treat patients in their communities and their own homes, rather than having to transport patients by ambulance to busy hospital emergency / A & E departments.
