" The new bridge benefits everyone in the metro area. Truck traffic can get to the national highways more efficiently, commuters avoid being stuck in traffic and pedestrians enjoy safer road crossing. "

The previous bridge had significantly deteriorated and was in need of an upgrade. Thanks to this project, the old bridge was demolished and a new bridge constructed.

Reworking traffic flow

The traffic network around the bridge was also improved through the reconstruction of 1 Maja Street and its intersections with Pawia, Herbska and Marii Skłodowskiej streets. As a result, the quality of transportation services was improved in the city and mobility of the residents was enhanced.

Put together, the project significantly contributed to improved economic conditions in the Kielce Metropolitan Area.

Improving Safety

As a result of the new road construction, the city is now better connected to national and transnational road networks, allowing this traffic to avoid traversing through the city. With less traffic congestion within Kielce, not only has there been a reduction in the number of collisions, but pedestrian crossing are also considerably safer.
