Driving up standards for road safety and accessibility between Kielce and Cedzyna
An ambitious road modernisation project aims to help kick start the local economy in South East Poland.
The initiative will see an upgrading of a 6km section of the national road 12/74 between Kielce-Cedzyna to an expressway. The road is located in the province of Świętokrzyskie where it passes through Kielce, a city in South East Poland, and the municipalities of Masłów and Górno.
The investment is part funded by the EU but is not covered by the TEN-T network. It will involve the construction of a footbridge, tunnel and overpasses
Building for the future and boosting job prospects
The main aim is to improve both road safety and transport accessibility of the province as well as inter-regional links. This, in turn, is designed to improve the quality of life for local residents and, additionally, the safety levels of all users of the planned road. This project is also expected to enhance the attractiveness of the area, improve the region's economic competitiveness, cut unemployment and create new jobs.
