" The project went ahead as planned and we were able to follow the timetable. The ERDF support was necessary to start the project, as the initial costs could not have been managed otherwise. This enabled Pagitsch GesmbH to create a new, future-oriented business area in the IT sector. "

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are faced with a challenge in the area of information technology (IT). As opposed to large companies, they often have to rely on different software applications for processes such as product development, production, and administration, leading to compatibility problems, data redundancy, and ultimately, time losses. With the new open-source software PagitschECM, this could now be a thing of the past. Good news for productivity in SMEs.

An all-round solution for SMEs

With the help of support from the European Regional Development Fund and the Salzburg region’s innovation assistance programme, an IT expert developed a software system, which integrated central data management, groupware functionalities, and centralised analysis. While the software at Pagitsch is used for their specific fields of activity – construction, plastering, production, and consulting – it is suitable for a range of sectors and can therefore be used by other clients as well.

A new pillar of activity

At Pagitsch, the software is in use since 2010 and facilitates work processes for their 200 employees. However, the project’s scope goes further than simply providing the company with a new IT solution. By bringing PagitschECM to the market, Pagitsch are branching out into the area of IT services, and at the same time making the software available to SMEs in the region.

The innovation thus creates sustainable economic development. Besides the direct effect at Pagitsch, where three new jobs have been created and many more secured through the boost in productivity and the new field of activity, the software solution can also bring benefits to the region as a whole. Truly a future-oriented investment.

Total investment and EU funding
