What kind of Europe do I want to live in? MED youngsters have their say

Meet Haya, Bianca, Yara or Irem. These are some of the youngsters from both sides of the Mediterranean Sea who will take part in a debate organised by the programme ENI CBC MED, on the occasion of Europe’s Day.

The event will take place on the 10th of May at 4 pm and will collect the views, priorities and expectations of young people towards the future of Europe.

The speakers will discuss about the relationship between the European Union and its Southern Neighbours, especially in the context of the “New agenda for the Mediterranean”, recently approved by the European Council. The main conclusions from the debate will feed the digital platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe, under the topic “EU in the world”.

The Conference is a major effort of the EU institutions to ensure citizens have their say regarding the “kind of Europe (they) want to live in”. Furthermore, the debate takes place in a period still deeply marked by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, so it will be the opportunity to hear what young people have to say about the economic recovery and green transition.

The event is organised in collaboration with Europe Direct Comunitat Valenciana and the participation of the representatives from Peace on Climate and the European Youth Parliament.
