Public funds for Greek small businesses affected by coronavirus
Thanks to ERDF, the administrative region of Continental Greece (Sterea Ellada) will support small and micro-enterprises that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with non-repayable grants.
The funding aims to provide targeted, financial support to ensure that there is sufficient market liquidity to deal with the effects of COVID‐19. Market liquidity will allow businesses to quickly purchase or sell assets without causing a drastic change in the asset’s price.
The grants will cover working capital equal to 50 % of a company’s 2019 expenses. The minimum available will be EUR 4 000 and the maximum EUR 40 000. The exact grant amount will be calculated using the sum of the markets for consumer goods, the purchases of raw materials and consumables, the total cost of providing services, the total rent paid by the company, the total employee benefits (excluding those engaged in agricultural biological activities) and various operating expenses.
Entitled ‘Support to small and very small enterprises affected by the pandemic COVID‐19 in the region of Central Greece’, the programme is funded under the Continental Greece 2014-2020 Operational Programme.
