The ERDF-funded project ‘KeyQ+’ will finance the diversification of tourism in the border region by developing and offering experience-based tourism packages.

These packages will include activities such as educational cookery courses, specialised training for chefs and educational entertainment activities. The project will finance training dedicated to students, professional cooks, waiters, and restaurant managers. Funding will also support the dissemination of knowledge about traditional catering and local territorial heritage.

Furthermore, it will promote lesser-known cultural heritage, improving tourist routes and providing experiences described as ‘off the beaten track’. The project partners hope to increase jobs and growth in the region, as well as making tourism more sustainable by offering alternative attractions and activities which can help reduce pressure on the more mainstream destinations.
